Photos, Sydney Park, Circa 1985.
Pretty sure this is Belmore Park near Central Station in Sydney, Australia.
The occasion was seeing my mother off to Adelaide, where she was going to look after my youngest brother Warren, who had just been offered an internship at a high tech company designing computer chips.
It was not too long before Warren was poached by Silicon Valley, and he has lived in America ever since.
For the sake of her youngest son, my mother had sold the lovely house she had designed for herself in Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast and moved to Adelaide to take care of him. She would always do anything for her children.
