NOTES The Portable Fridge is a reference to Jenna Price, then a poison dwarf character around the Sydney Morning Herald newsroom, later to become a Professor of Journalism at the University of Technology in Sydney. McGrieve is a reference to Jim Maclean, in those days a guru of the recovery movement then gripping Sydney.
